Chinese IT equipment maker Xiaomi has announced the Android-based 6.67-inch high-performance smartphones "Xiaomi 11T Pro" and "Xiaomi 11T" worldwide.
Both models emphasize camera performance, especially video quality. It is the successor to the current "Mi 10T" series.
Prices for the 11T Pro start at 649 euros in Europe. However, as a special price to commemorate the release, a sale starting from 599 euros will be offered. 11T MUJI starts from 499 euros.
There are three color variations that are common to both models. There are three colors: bright blue "Celestial Blue", gray "Meteorite Gray", and white "Moonlight White".
There are 3 grades of RAM and storage configuration for 11T Pro: 8GB / 128GB (649 euros), 8GB / 256GB (699 euros), and 12GB / 256GB (749 euros). There are two grades of 11T MUJI, 8GB / 128GB (499 euros) and 8GB / 256GB (549 euros).
Features of 11T Pro include 120W quick charging, which is the first for smartphones, high-speed processing by installing Qualcomm's "Snapdragon 888", and 5G + 5G dual standby. The 11T MUJI supports 67W quick charging, and the SoC is equipped with MediaTek's "Dimensity 1200 Ultra", and although the specifications are suppressed compared to Pro, this is also a high level of performance.

Since the gift plans for the three models are being held at the same time, it seems good to think that all of them will be released.
These two models have many features because they are only Xiaomi's high-end models, but the biggest technical feature is the (maximum) 120W quick charge "120W HyperCharge" installed in the 11T Pro. By charging with a large amount of power that exceeds that of conventional smartphones, it appeals that "the built-in battery of 5000mAh can be charged to 100% in 17 minutes."
When it comes to that, the charger (AC adapter) is a concern, but it is rare for high-end smartphones these days, and it comes with the main unit. It is a specification that can be used for quick charging immediately after purchase. At the same time, Xiaomi is appealing that "the charger can be used for other USB devices".
In addition, 11T MUJI supports 67W quick charge. Although the power is lower than that of the Pro, it is still as high as a mobile notebook PC and has a high level of "100% charge in 36 minutes". Even if 11T is not marked, the AC adapter is attached to the main unit.
In addition, the SoC, which is the heart of the system, is also suitable for the high-end class. 11T Pro is equipped with "Snapdragon 888" which is the fastest among Qualcomm Snapdragon. I gave it to the high-speed version of 888+ for the fastest position, but there is no doubt that it is a very high-speed SoC for Android smartphones.
And 11T MUJI is equipped with MediaTek's "Dimensity 1200 Ultra". MediaTek's SoC, which is performing well in low-priced machines and middle-range models overseas, is a remarkable model that has challenged the high-end class. The ability here is unknown, but the 1200 (unmarked) without Ultra is also an SoC whose adoption examples are steadily increasing.
Regarding cooling, which is the focus of high-performance SoCs, a large vapor chamber is installed in common with MUJI to achieve efficient heat diffusion. Aim for stable operation even in game play and long-time video recording.
Especially for models equipped with SD888, heat dissipation performance is the focus, but it seems that it can be called above the standard in that respect as well.
And Xiaomi's main appeal is the camera function, especially video recording.
The rear camera is a triple (3 module) configuration common to Pro and MUJI. It is a combination of 108 million pixels main (wide angle), 8 million pixels ultra wide angle, and 5 million pixels macro.
Furthermore, although it is only Pro, it supports 8K / 30fps video recording. Similarly, it is only Pro, but 4K can also record at 60 fps. In the recording mode, the evaluation of the current generation Mi 10T series such as "One Click AI Cinema" and various filters will be inherited.
Furthermore, in terms of image quality, it is possible to record in HDR10 + mode even though this is also Pro only. You can prevent overexposure and underexposure of the subject even in situations where there is a large difference in brightness, such as backlit portraits in bright places.
Regarding playback of HDR video sources, HDR10 + and Dolby Vision are supported, including unmarked ones. Therefore, Pro is one of the few smartphones that "supports HDR10 + from recording to editing and playback."
The front camera is a punch hole type with 16 million pixels. Selfie in night mode with reduced noise is also possible even in the dark.
As for the display panel, it is the one that has been strengthened following the current Mi 10T series.
The basic specifications are the same as Pro and MUJI, and it is a 6.67 inch organic EL panel. The resolution is 2400 x 1080, so-called "short side 1080" specifications. There is a trend to lower the resolution of high-end smartphones these days compared to the one at one time, but these two models have specifications similar to this.
On the other hand, the refresh rate that is being emphasized these days is a maximum of 120Hz. Of course, a variable specification that Xiaomi puts effort into has been introduced, and the refresh rate is automatically changed according to the display content to reduce unnecessary power consumption.
Furthermore, the sampling rate of the touch panel is 480Hz, which is the same value as a gaming smartphone. Combined with the flat shape, it is designed to prevent input leakage even with a fine touch.
In addition, Pro claims the best Xiaomi in terms of display quality. This is from the fact that DisplayMate, a certification body for display quality, obtained the "A +" grade, which is the highest evaluation on Android smartphones. It is endorsed by a proven evaluation organization.
In addition, the surface glass is the same as Pro and MUJI, and the latest generation of Corning's gorilla glass "Gorilla Glass Victus" is adopted. It also appeals toughness.
The built-in speaker is a stereo specification tuned in collaboration with the high-end audio brand Harman Kardon (corresponding to the horizontally long state). The position is improved compared to the Mi 10T generation, and it is touted that clearer playback is possible.
Dolby Atmos is also supported for 3D sounds, which are becoming more valuable in music distribution these days. You can enjoy high-precision surround sound with compatible sources.
Also, consider the OS update period, which is becoming the focus of Android high-end smartphones these days. We officially guarantee Android updates up to "3 major updates" and security updates for 4 years.
In addition, the battery charge / discharge cycle is nominally 800 times, which is longer than the standard 500 times. It also supports long-term operation in terms of hardware.
In addition, the standard warranty is as long as 2 years. Furthermore, although there is a complicated restriction of "purchasing up to 30 days after it is released in the region", it has become a generous specification that even one screen crack can be dealt with with a standard warranty for 6 months.
In this way, the Xiaomi 11T series is a model that pursues unique and fun recording / shooting functions and high bargains like Xiaomi products, while being based on the basic performance suitable for high-end Android machines at the current level.
Technically, the point is that it has many notable functions such as 120W quick charge (which has a big impact anyway) in Pro.
Especially in Japan, it seems that it will finally become "the introduction of high-end class machines that Xiaomi fans wanted", so it will be quite popular. There is no doubt that it will be a hot smartphone at the end of 2021. Source: Xiaomi 11T Pro product page (English), Xiaomi 11T product page (English)
