Many iPhone X users are experiencing this issue...
Gizmodo's Andrew Couts tried out the iOS 12 public beta. He wrote that it was a pity that the problem of accidentally taking screenshots on iPhone X had not been completely resolved.
Too clear.
The public beta of iOS 12 is now live. I couldn't help but wonder if the phenomenon of accidentally taking screenshots on iPhone X was fixed as expected.
When I tried using it, it was not possible to take screenshots during sleep. However, this does not completely solve the erroneous screenshot problem.
Screenshots are unusually easy to take on the iPhone X. To take a screenshot, you press the power button and volume up button on the right side at the same time, but if you hold the iPhone X normally, your thumb and index finger will naturally touch these two buttons. .
I've been using the iPhone X for nearly 8 months now, and if I hold it a little harder, it's a snap. If you try to turn off the alarm in the morning and pick up the iPhone X, you will be smashed, and you will be forced to press the power button to put it on standby. There doesn't seem to be a feature in the iOS 12 public beta to prevent these.
If you accidentally take a screenshot, you can either delete it with a little effort, or live with your storage filled with pointless screenshots (I have over 120 screenshots in my screenshot folder, It contains a screenshot that was taken by mistake, and it is fertilizing the storage).
Can't you add a function to turn on/off the screenshot capture? I think you just need to add it to the control center. If for some reason I don't know why that's difficult, maybe add gestures. But the measures in place in the iOS 12 public beta weren't that radical.
Yes, this is a public beta. Apple will have a better fix somewhere else. But for now, using the iPhone X remains painful. It's the best smartphone I've ever used...
