Searching lets you see who you really are.
What did you google today? Worries, worries, things about your schedule, people you like... Your search history is full of your true self. It's embarrassing because I searched for naughty videos! It's not a level, but it's a little creepy to think that there is information that can be a hint about your health, financial situation, and family relationships. So it's not a bad idea to password lock your search history.
Android Police has discovered and spread the topic, but Google has added a new search history lock setting. This is one of the specifications for privacy protection that Google started distributing starting with Google I / O.
How to set search history password protection
- After logging in to your Google account, go to the "Activity Management" screen from "Data & Personalization"
- "Web & App Activity" ] to ``Manage Activities''
- From ``Manage My Activity Verification'', check ``Require additional authentication'' and enter your password to verify your identity
This completes the setup. The web browsing history and search words that were displayed at the bottom of the page before setting will not be displayed. To display it, you need to enter the password from the "Confirm" button.
If you are worried about setting a password, you can manually delete the history you care about, or set "Choose option to automatically delete web & app activity" to automatically delete it periodically. It's also a hand. Chrome's guest mode function is convenient and recommended when you lend your device to someone for a while.
